Off-Strip Productions presents THE LARAMIE PROJECT by Moises Kaufman and the Tectonic Theater Project, a play which focuses on the small Wyoming town where 21-year-old Matthew Shepard was murdered in 1998 because he was gay. Based on more than 200 interviews, THE LARAMIE PROJECT portrays the community’s emotional devastation at the horrific crime and their subsequent attempts to recover from it, in their own words. Even fifteen years after the event the message of this poignant and heartbreaking drama still resonates as we see an increase in anti-gay violence across the country.
